Workshop Date & Time
Saturday 21 November 2026 · 17:00–19:30
Workshop Location
Lofy’s Place, 25a, rue St Ulric L-2651 Luxembourg-Grund
Explore how different materials, images and found objects can come together to create meaning.
Saturday 21 November 2026 · 17:00–19:30
What happens when you take an image or object out of its original context and combine it with something unexpected? This workshop explores image-making through collage, layering and the combination of different materials.
You’ll experiment with arranging and connecting visual elements, considering how their relationships can suggest a story, express an idea or transform something familiar. Drawing and painted marks can help connect the elements, introduce contrast or take your composition in a new direction.
Bring along a small collection of material offcuts, scraps, trinkets and found objects that you’re happy to use or share. These might include fabric, paper, ribbon, packaging, buttons or other small curiosities. You may use your own collection, discover something another participant has brought, or find an unexpected combination between the two.
Whether you begin with a clear intention or discover your idea through experimenting, you’ll receive guidance as you develop your own constructed image.
What you’ll explore:
Combining images and objects: Find connections between materials and visual elements from different sources.
Composition and arrangement: Experiment with scale, placement and balance.
Layering and texture: Build depth through overlapping materials and contrasting surfaces.
Drawing and painted marks: Explore ways to connect, alter or extend your collected elements.
Creating meaning: Consider how unexpected combinations can communicate ideas and invite interpretation.
What to bring: A small selection of offcuts, trinkets and found materials to potentially incorporate into your artwork. Include anything you’re happy to offer to the shared collection—you might find that someone else’s contribution sparks your next idea.
Please note: your booking is confirmed once payment is completed. The order status will remain Pending until after the workshop, when it is manually marked as fulfilled.
