Have you ever wanted to learn how to draw faces but weren’t sure where to begin? In this relaxed and beginner-friendly workshop, we will explore the foundations of portrait drawing and discover how artists use simple proportions and shapes to create convincing portraits.
Working from magazine references or each other, we will focus on the traditional front-facing portrait and learn how the features relate to one another. This workshop is not about perfection, but about developing observation and understanding the underlying structure of the face.

Suitable for complete beginners as well as those who would like to refresh their drawing skills. For those wishing to explore portraiture further, a longer portrait course will follow later in the year.

Work from magazine references or fellow participants.
Learn simple measuring techniques.
Receive individual guidance throughout the session.
