Portrait Drawing: The Side Profile Sunday 29 November 2026

€60.00

Have you ever tried drawing a face from the side and found that something didn’t quite look right? In this relaxed and beginner-friendly workshop, we’ll explore how simple proportions and shapes can help you create a convincing profile portrait.

Working from magazine references or each other, we’ll focus on the head in profile, observing how the forehead, nose, lips and chin connect. We’ll also look at the placement of the eye and ear, the shape of the skull and how the head joins the neck. The focus is on developing observation and understanding the structure of the face, with room to practise and experiment.
