Workshop Date & Time
Sunday 25 October 2026 14:30-17:00
Workshop Location
Lofy’s Place, 25a, rue St Ulric L-2651 Luxembourg-Grund
Access details
Create a vibrant painted portrait of your pet using a favourite photograph as your starting point.
In this workshop, you’ll be guided through the process of turning your reference image into a painting, from establishing the composition and shapes to building up colour, texture and expressive details in acrylic paint.
Rather than trying to reproduce the photograph exactly, we’ll explore how colour and brushwork can be used to bring personality and energy into the portrait. You can work with your pet’s natural colouring or take a more playful approach with unexpected and expressive colours.
You don’t need to be confident at drawing to take part. We’ll use a simple transfer method to establish the main shapes of your pet before moving into paint, allowing you to focus on colour, character and the enjoyment of painting.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with your own finished painted pet portrait on canvas.
Complete beginners
Anyone who loves animals and would like to paint their own pet
Those wanting to explore acrylic painting in a relaxed, approachable way
More experienced painters looking for a fun and expressive project
All painting materials are provided, including acrylic paints and a 24 × 30 cm canvas.
Please bring a clear, good-quality printed photograph of the pet you would like to paint. A photograph with the face clearly visible and good lighting will work best.
